Every week, we go through and pick some of our personal favorites to highlight as Super Winners.
Winner - I like the fact that this cyenobite/bandit is a winner and could shoot you with guns.
Right in there with cyenobite in the thug category is Steve as a loser.
I’m running away from this photo!!! Ahhh, no, it’s Sharir, aka, The Claw!

Besides getting a stranger to flash the vulcan sign of greeting, Sparky has started making name for himself as “The guy who attempts to get as many challenges in one shot!”
This one, combining loser and winner with a mirror tool just creeps me out! Good job Blakeemrys!

And now what you’ve all been waiting for….
This week’s challenge has a HANDS theme. You are to take the following photos:
1. “Winner” and “Loser” self portraits. Make a “W” with your hands on against your forehead for “Winner”. Make an “L” with your hand against your forehead for “Loser”. Bonus points if your “L” is backwards. That takes a real loser!!
(Yes, these are two separate photos that count as one completion!)
(You might be saying to yourself “doesn’t that “W” sign mean “Whatever”? Nope. We make the rules here.)
2. Someone (you or anyone) giving us “the claw.” Yeah, two little girls have done this move for photos for me and Bre recently. Copy them! (See above)
3. A stranger making a Vulcan sign of greeting with their hand. Extra points for telling them to live long and prosper when they leave. We’re just gonna have to take your word on that one.
4. Someone (you or anyone) using sign language to make the first letter of their (or your) name. You can look at a chart here:

5. Someone holding a tool, you know, like a hammer!
Rules:
- These photos must be taken by end of day 2/25/07. That’s Sunday!
- Tag photos with item name and “photogamer” (for example, the photo of your “the claw” photo will be tagged “hands”, “theclaw” and “photogamer”)

So, as a reward for completing the entire challenge AND properly tagging your photos, we’re gonna highlight some of our favorite photos in each category! They could be chosen for a number of reasons…quality photos, humor, creativity, etc. Congrats to the Super Winners of Challenge #1!!
In the “small dog” category, the winner comes from mommy peace. Not only was this a great shot of an adorable puppy, but she takes care of dogs and puppies who need homes. How great is that?!
The second category was “reflection”. The award goes to David Reeves for his puddle reflection of the Flatiron Building in NYC. I know…totally unfair advantage to live in NYC! 
Category number 3 was to snap a shot of one of those crazy non-cell phones that some of us still remember. Okay, the award goes to Hilary’s dad (hiladad). Before you whine about this, listen to why! He joined Flickr specifically to play photogamer! AND he took a pic of a nice old phone and still remembers his phone number (3-9-J) from when he was a kid. Good enough?
Next up was a particularly difficult challenge for some…to snap a shot of a stranger in a hat! We were particularly impressed by sparktography’s patience as he waited in the bitter cold for a stranger in a hat to pass by so that he could complete all five challenges in one photo! Check out his photo for all the details!
Finally, we asked that you all take a photo of something you made! So many creative people on Flickr, but we knew that already, didn’t we? Many of you made US hungry by showing food and drinks that you’d prepared. Yeah…thanks…Hilary probably gained a couple pounds on Sunday. The winner, though was completelyknown for a really beautiful photo of a miniature rustic chair that he made.
And those are the super winners of Challenge #1. Congratulations, everyone!

It’s Sunday and you need something fun to do! Grab your camera, your kids, your friends, whatever and whoever you need and get shooting!
Today’s challenge is to take photos of the following items:
1. small dog
2. reflection
3. phone (not a cell phone!)
4. stranger wearing a hat
5. something you made
Rules:
- These photos must be taken on 2/18/07
- Post to the Flickr photogamer group and tag photos with item name and “photogamer” (for example, the photo of the dog will be tagged “small dog” and “photogamer”)

Yep, this is in alpha-mode. Not a-la-mode… that’s ice cream, silly.
Bre and Hilary like to play games with their cameras and they want you to too… that sounds funny talking in the third person about ourselves.
We’ve got lots of ideas to make this the coolest thing you’ll ever do with your camera.
